Know More About Head Lice Through Pictures

Head lice are small bugs that have an affiliation towards human head and eat the blood of the scalp. Statistics show larger number of youngsters infested is girls because of their long hair, frequent exchange of brushes.

The best age for getting lice is between 3 to12.
There are few methods to suspect whether your kid has lice. One of the most evident signs is that your kid has started scratching his head more than usual.
Small sores have developed at the rear of the neck and around the ears.

The look of head lice pictures might not be enjoyable for mums and dads however it is needed when your kid have lice.

Head lice are not that harmful but are highly catching. They may result in infection in the scalp.
The photographs helps the parents know what to look for and the way to tell if there are live lice in the hair.

Lice like to nest on the back of the neck on the hairline and around the ears.
They are the right place to check to know whether you are infested by head lice.
You will most likely notice the eggs of the lice called nits first.

They appear to be small yellow or brown dots.

Nits often reside on the hair shaft close to the scalp as they grow fast in the heat given off from the scalp. Nits have a variety of glue on them so they stick to the follicle and can't be easily removed like dandruff. You can physically check and blow out head lice from your child's head yourself. Get yourself snug fitting rubber expendable gloves.
You do it in presence of direct sunlight, if it's not possible then illuminate your child's scalp with the brightest light.
First of all remove all of the tangles from the hair and brush the hair correctly with a brush. Next divide the hair into little sectional clumps with assistance from hair clips. Use lice brush to sweep the each hair strand rom the scalp to the end.
After each combing dip the brush into water to check for nits and adult lice. Continue this process till the entire scalp is completely searched.
You may also visually make out whether head lice are present on a scalp.

You must look carefully at the collar and inside neck line of your child's shirt.

Lice drop tiny black feces that get stuck in the fabric of the shirt.
You should have a look for black streaks as they get rubbed against the neck due to recurring head movement.
Nits generally appear as white tubes in the lengths of hair closer to scalp.

If you find nits higher up in the hair that implies they're laid 2 months before your finding them.
